Triad to differentiate Breast cyst from solid mass on ultrasound.

Simple breast cysts can be reliably differentiated from solid masses using ultrasound by looking for three classic features:

1. a smooth thin wall,

2. a completely anechoic (echo-free) interior,

3. and distal posterior acoustic enhancement.
