Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data RadMiLe collects, why we collect it, and how you can control it. We keep it plain and jargon-free.
1. Who we are
RadMiLe is a radiology micro-learning platform operated by the RadMiLe Team. For privacy-related enquiries, contact contact@radmile.org.
2. What data we collect
Account data. When you sign up, we collect your email address and (if you use Google sign-in) your Google profile name and avatar. Your email is never shown publicly.
Profile data. You may optionally provide a display name, username, location, and bio. Only the information you choose to make public is visible to other users.
Content you submit. Pearls, likes, bookmarks, and contact messages are stored in association with your account.
Usage data. We collect basic, anonymous usage information (page views, session counts) through Supabase to understand how the Platform is used. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
3. How we use your data
- To provide and operate the Platform (authentication, displaying your profile, saving bookmarks).
- To send you transactional emails (magic link sign-in, email confirmations).
- To respond to support messages you send us.
- To understand how the Platform is used and improve it.
- To detect and prevent abuse, spam, or violations of our Terms of Use.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Data storage & third parties
RadMiLe is built on Supabase, which stores your data on servers hosted by AWS. Supabase is compliant with SOC 2 Type II. By using RadMiLe, you acknowledge that your data is processed by Supabase in accordance with their privacy policy.
We do not integrate with any advertising networks, social tracking pixels, or data brokers.
5. Cookies & local storage
RadMiLe uses browser localStorage solely to save your theme preference (dark/light mode). We use a session cookie for authentication, set by Supabase. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
6. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data via your Profile Settings.
- Delete your account and associated data by emailing contact@radmile.org. We will process deletion requests within 7 days.
- Export your submitted pearls — contact us and we will provide them in a readable format.
7. Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed within 7 days. Published pearls you have submitted may be retained in anonymised or attributed form unless you specifically request their removal.
8. Children's privacy
RadMiLe is not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will remove it promptly.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
