Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) Interventions
For patients with HCC who are not surgical candidates, embolization alone provides only palliative relief.
However, adding ablation can make the treatment potentially curative;
ablation alone is considered for lesions smaller than 3 cm,
while a combination of embolization and ablation for 3–5 cm lesions can achieve survival rates similar to surgical resection.
