Managing Femoral Pseudoaneurysms

Iatrogenic pseudoaneurysms are a known risk of arterial access, particularly with "high" or "low" punctures, large cannulas, or anticoagulant use.

While small, asymptomatic pseudoaneurysms (<2 cm) can be managed conservatively with ultrasound follow-up, larger or symptomatic ones are typically treated first-line with percutaneous thrombin injection or ultrasound-guided compression.
